Welcome to Mackeys Marina, located on the South shore of the Albemarle Sound opposite Edenton. Nestled in a secluded creek, Mackeys Marina offers full boatyard services as well as a well stocked Marine Store, Fishing Supply Center and now a Crab Bar & Grille open Thursday through Sunday.
Slips
Entering the creek from Albemarle Sound and rounding the bend brings you into view of the Marina with slips lined up along the right hand side of the creek. The slips are sheltered and can handle boats up to 40ft long with up to 5ft draft. Click for Slip Rates and/or an Application Form.
Fuel
A little further on is the Fuel Dock where you can pull in and fill up with Gas or Diesel.
A charming covered deck, perched on the edge of the water, invites visitors to sit and enjoy the view out of the sun or rain, or just sit. Alongside is the launch ramp where a constant stream of Fishermen come and go at the weekend. Click for Launch Ramp Rate
Travel Lift
On the other side of the Launch Ramp are the finger piers for the Travel Lift. This handy tool can pluck boats from the water up to 33,000 lbs gross weight and 14 ft in width and place them gently on the ground for servicing. Click for Travel Lift Rates
Marine Store
Across the Car Park beside the Crab Bar & Grille, is a spacious Marine Store where the Gourmet Coffee is always fresh and Joanne is there to welcome you. Along with a wide array of Fishing and Marine accessories, local artists work, clothing and souvenir items find themselves on display, making for a good browsing experience.
Hot Dogs and snacks fend off the hunger pangs brought on by a day on the water or by working on your boat. A variety of beverages are available to quench your thirst.
In the back room, the live bait tanks bubble quietly and other delicacies destined for the deep wait for selection by optimistic fishermen.
Special Orders
Most boatyards will not permit you to work on your own boat while it is on their premises in order to generate sufficient volume to survive. Mackeys Marina does permit you to work on your own boat and all we ask is that you let us Special Order your paint and supplies for you.
These will be provided at competitive prices with other marine stores and internet suppliers, you will have a one stop shopping experience and won’t have to drive to Chesapeake to get something, or pay delivery charges. Contact Joanne at 252-793-5031 for full details.
Rentals
While your boat is in the yard, you can enjoy a day on the river by renting the pontoon boat. This is also a good way of entertaining visitors and showing them the best of North Carolina. For the more energetic, canoes are also available. Click for Rental Rates
